The Contemporary Chorale Scholarship

Each year, the Chorale is proud to offer a $1000 scholarship to a deserving senior graduating from one of the four Richardson High Schools. The recipient is nominated by their choral director for their dedication and participation in their school’s choral program. The scholarship rotates through the schools in the following order: Richardson, Berkner, J.J. Pearce and Lake Highlands.

The scholarship is designed to recognize outstanding choir students and their contribution to their choir program. The student must be a graduating senior currently active in the choral program at his/her school.  Selection will be based on:

  • Musical excellence
  • Involvement in the choral program
  • Other school activities
  • Leadership qualities
  • Character

JJ Pearce Senior, Arianna Hadjebian, is the 2018 recipient of The Contemporary Chorale Scholarship.

Arianna has been a leader in the JJ Pearce Choral Department throughout her time in high school. She is a section leader in the Acappella Choir, and serves on the Choir Board as a Social Media Officer. She is a veteran member of Forte, and has had numerous solo opportunities in concerts and shows.
