What inspired you to join?
Hilda was encouraged to join by Sandra Treviño, who shared how much fun the chorale is — and she was absolutely right!
Favorite song or performance?
Hilda says it sometimes takes her a little while to warm up to the music, but then suddenly, “Wham! Bam! Alakazam, I’m hit!” — and she falls in love with every song in an unforgettable way.
Previous experience?
Music has been part of Hilda’s life since early childhood. She has performed both solo and in groups, including school choirs, church choirs, musicals, cantatas, youth choirs, trios, and family ensembles.

Hilda has a unique musical mind — so many words she hears or says instantly connect to a song!
When she’s not singing…
She enjoys spending time with her grandchildren and family, playing piano, and exploring new instruments like guitar, cello, and accordion. She also loves hosting, cooking, bowling, sewing, teaching, reading, playing games, traveling, and anything involving water.

Medical shows, autobiographies, documentaries (old and new), and Earth science.
