Support - Dallas Area Community Choir - The Contemporary Chorale

As the oldest, continuously operating, adult choir in the Dallas area, we provide a musical outlet to enrich the lives of our members and community.

There are many charitable causes worthy of your tax-deductible donation dollars – arts and education are among the most significant. Consider combining your support of both arts and education by giving to The Contemporary Chorale.

As a non-profit organization, The Contemporary Chorale is unique in its vision and reach. This group is focused not only on educating its members, but on providing them with the opportunity to "pay it forward" by performing in charitable venues, including senior citizen centers, church groups and others that would otherwise not have access to high-quality musical entertainment.

Along with their charitable work, the members of The Contemporary Chorale prepare and perform two public shows annually. These performances, one during the holiday season and the other in the spring, are all-out extravaganzas with wonderful songs and exciting choreography, though they do not financially sustain the group.

Sponsorship Program

The Contemporary Chorale provides quality musical experiences for our community, both for our audience and our members. Established over 65 years ago, the Chorale continues to attract new singers – many who join us as a result of enjoying our performances. In a struggling economy, non-profit arts organizations like the Chorale face serious challenges in maintaining our high standards. Sponsorships are vital to meet these goals and we want to offer you the opportunity to become a contributing benefactor to the work of the Chorale at one of the levels seen in the column to the left.

Contributions are tax deductible (EIN #752809011) and will receive recognition in our programs.
Some levels receive complimentary program tickets.

Diane Downey Memorial Fund

Diane joined the Chorale in 2001 and performed with the group for 10 years.  She served in various capacities on the board for 8 years, including serving as President for 3 years.  She also served as choreographer for part of her tenure with the Chorale.

Diane was tireless in her endeavor to bring a more professional feel to the Chorale and to make it more—Contemporary.  We honor Diane with contributions to this fund as a way to continue her efforts to move the Chorale into the future.

Donations to the Diane Downey Memorial Fund are tax deductible.
